Wednesday 23.10. Studio Day 17:

Managed to watch a movie in the evening (to which Tony had written some songs), In the morning we finished up re-amping the clean guitars and started with the leads. We've also been putting the keyboard tracks into the songs at the same time so everything is coming along quite nicely. After lunch we continued with the re-amping for a while and then it was Tony's time to step up and start singing the "epic" song. Btw, Masi is here to produce and record the vocals (he's been here since last week) but just today I managed to take a pic of him...while waiting for our late lunch. Tonight we're gonna go to the sauna and afterwards it's probably time for me to play some solos...or at least give it a shot.

cheers,

Henkka

Masi, the producer from Hell(sinki).

What I ate today part 15: the first pizza of the week...

  1. Oh I thought it was the studio's Masi, not this Masi - why is everybody called the same in this country?! LOL But....what happened to Elias' hands in the Masi picture? O_O

What movie was that? Is it worth it for the songs? ;)

    1. You've probably guessed it, but the suspect here is most likely exposure.

Fast moving, close objects (like Elias' hands) get distorted in long exposures because the reflected light continuously lands on the sensor/media.

Or I'm completely wrong - who the fuck knows?

  3. Virtually Heroes, was the movie...if I'm not completely wrong...not sure if it's out yet though...you'll know the name of the epic song when the tracklist will be released...whenever that might be ;-)

    2. Whatever just happened, lets try again... So, nothing about those songs (in the movie, I'm not even asking about the album I know you won't tell it's ok) can be found out yet as well... Yes, always curious about anything concerning Tony or SA. ;)

    1. Don't buy tickets just yet. It's not the first time promoters have tried to pull stuff like this, and March sounds a bit too early for a show in Argentina of all places, without a tour around it to cover the costs...

    2. Actually going by this: http://www.sonataarctica.info/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5213&start=60

I'd say there's a high chance the news are fake. If you know anybody planning to go, could you tell them to wait until confirmation, just to be sure? :) I know people who got scammed last year for a fake show that was supposed to happen in Brazil this November, and it wasn't nice at all.

    3. Of course I'm sorry if I'm wrong, and I hope for you guys that I am wrong. I just don't want Sonata fans to be scammed again :(
